home > Who We Are > Statement of Faith What We Believe... 1. We believe in the One triune God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who is eternally existent in Himself, and the Creator of all that exists. 2. We believe that the Bible is God's uniquely authoritative Word, that it tells us who the One and only triune God is and why He made the universe; and that it is infallible in matters of faith and life. 3. We believe that God made humanity in His own image, to reflect His nature and to represent His glory; that humanity chose to promote itself over the Creator, and so all humans were marred by that choice and demonstrate the outworking of that choice as we sin against the will of the Creator, and suffer the consequence of that choice, both spiritual and physical death, the judgment pronounced by God on all sin. 4. We believe that God loved humanity in spite of its sin, and sought to restore the broken relationship between creature and Creator; that in the Father's own Son, Jesus, who forever is fully God the Son, God became fully man; that through Jesus' perfect righteousness, perfect willing sacrifice, death on the cross, and through His bodily resurrection from the dead the Father provided salvation from judgment and a restored relationship with God for all who put their trust in Jesus. All of these actions of God for us are the result of God's gracious design to be both Just in His judgment, and the Justifier for salvation for everyone who believes in Jesus. This good news is for all people regardless of race, language, status, or expressions of sin from which they are delivered. 5. We believe that those who have entered into a faith relationship with God are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and empowered by the Spirit to live out the righteousness of Christ by faith. All who submit to Jesus as Lord are members of His body, the Church, and are bound by the blood of the Savior and the Spirit of God to be in fellowship with one another. 6. We believe the Church exists to give witness in its actions and in its words to God's gracious acts towards the human race through Jesus. As we live, work and worship, the Church demonstrates the heart of God for humanity calling all people to "come and follow" Jesus. 7. We believe that as Lord of all Creation and as Savior of all who believe, Jesus will return as Sovereign with the Father and the Holy Spirit ushering in the only perfect world order, ruling over His kingdom that will have no end. |
